What a great analogy! I am in that final process now and am grateful I have spent the time cutting back to the base layer. However, I wonder if I will ever see this process through to the final polished product. As I am still learning, I would appreciate any topics on editing. Sorry, I know that's not particularly helpful. I am all ears!! Thanks.
LOL - Thanks Donita. It's great to know you're 'all ears' :) Is it a book you're working on?
I'm not sure we're ever completely happy with the finished product. It seems there's always more to polish. I'm almost finished the first draft of a novel, and I know there's still so much more work ahead of me. But each tip we learn helps in that process. I find it reassuring to know that even bestselling authors still read writing craft books and revise their work multiple times. It's all a learning curve. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
