Thanks for an interesting post, Nola. Does the twist at the end of Kate's first published book, The House at Riverton (aka The Shifting Fog) count as a twist? I felt it did at the time I read it and felt gutted by the last several chapters. A good novel though, despite the slow start.
Hi Jeanette - Yes I'd definitely count that as a twist of the 'Eek!' variety. Definitely a book where you need to stop yourself from reading the last page ahead of time. I agree it was a bit slow, but once it got going, I really liked it. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
